My 5 Favorite Things
This is going to be a monthly feature here at the “Hers” section of the blog. Every month I will be sharing five of my favorite things with you!
Some of these items could be product affiliates, meaning if you purchase the item there is no extra cost to you but we get a small commission (which helps us continue to bring you awesome content). Any affiliate products are those websites or items we have tried ourselves and find to be a great buy. We never endorse a product or brand we don’t believe in. You will know it is an affiliate product if the link is pink. Many of the items I choose will most likely not be an affiliate, just things I think are really amazing!
I have spent my fair share of time on the interwebs over the years, and in that time I have discovered many hidden gems. My research online has taught me how to save money on groceries, how to budget better, ways to curb the clutter, what the best online bible studies are…etc. I have a knack for finding really great things on the internet. And some of these things have made our life a lot less complicated. Some of them not so much. But don’t worry, I’m only going to share the cool ones with you!
Links are in the product titles.

2. Romantic Homes Magazine

June 2018 Issue
This is one of my favorite new reads! I discovered it while I was working at the library. Such a beautiful magazine with amazing photos of beautiful home decor. If you’re looking for inspiration for your home with a romantic flare, this is the magazine for you. Romantic Homes brings old world charm into modern day. Whether you’re into shabby chic, french country, or modern farmhouse you’re bound to find something that can inspire your next room makeover.
Last month’s issue featured a lovely article about a flower farmer in my area who grows the most beautiful blooms. This month is their famous flea market issue! With Romantic Homes Magazine you can find articles on how to set the perfect tea time table, make your own lavender linen spray, and find the perfect faucet for your deep farm sink.
I always look forward to sitting down with a latte and the newest issue to get lost in the flower gardens, beautiful kitchens, and comfy looking living rooms displayed on the pages of Romantic Homes!
3. Hosanna Revival
If you’re in the market for a new bible have I got the website for you! Katie Guiliano is the founder and artist behind Hosanna Revival hand painted bibles. Katie truly believes in the idea that a beautiful bible is a wonderful way to draw women closer to the word. She came up with the idea while studying in Spain and decided her plain black bible should reflect her personal taste and spirit. That’s when she realized, what a great way to turn her talent into a ministry!
Each Bible has Katie’s beautiful artwork digitally printed on the cover, 2″ wide margins for journaling, cream-colored pages, and ribbon bookmark. There are many pre-made options to choose from, especially with the recently released 2018 editions. You can also choose to purchase a hand-painted semi-custom or the fully customized bible to get the complete experience of a Hosanna Revival Bible.
Hosanna Revival also has Katie’s artwork in the form of art prints and stickers for sale as well. Head on over to her website and check out all the beauty for yourself.

4. Living Well Planner

Living Well Planner
This has got to be one of my favorite planners of all time! I have tried many over the years and this one has checked off pretty much all the boxes for me. I’ll be honest this is the first planner I actually use on a daily basis. Usually like most New Year’s resolutions, my pledge to be more organized slowly dies around the end of February. Well here we are almost into June and I am still using my Living Well Planner every day! It’s a freaking miracle I tell you!
So what makes this planner so amazing? It really comes down to all the cool features, and well the stickers, stickers are always cool. This planner covers all the areas of life I need help with. The main feature of it is the goal planning aspect. Each month starts with Ruth Soukup’s trademark goal sheet and goal crushing process as well as a project planning sheet. It features a month at a glance and then numerous weekly plans that help you break down everything day by day. For each day there is also a meal plan spot. Budget sheets modeled after Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace method are available after the weekly pages for each month. You can also use the last section of each month to fill in your thoughts and thanks.
One of the best features of all, in my humble opinion, is the monthly stickers! I told you it’s all about the stickers! But seriously the reason this is so awesome is that you can purchase the planner any time of year and put the stickers on the tabs, set to whenever you start your planner! How cool is that?!? No more waiting until January to start your soon-to-be favorite planner.
5. Lavender Milk Tea
I blame my sister-in-law Sze Nga for this one! She started my addiction for this lovely drink back in January 2017. Once I was handed that first steaming cup of creamy black tea and the scent of lavender wafted up as I took a sip, it was all over. I was done. And like a true drug dealer the first cup was free, then when my brother moved his family into their own home, he took Sze Nga and that beautifully scented drink with him. Dangit! I had to find it for myself! No worries, I didn’t have to drive down to Seattle’s International District to find it. Amazon to the rescue!
Since that day I have bought at least thirty bags of the stuff. I usually average two cups a day when I have it in the house. But it’s almost summer you say? Well here’s a secret, you know that lavender black boba tea? Its base is the same product linked above! I have plans for patio time out in the sun with iced lavender boba tea in hand.

Each month I am going to do my best to bring my favorite fun and inspiring products or websites to you with the hope that it helps make your life a lot less complicated too!
