Finding Purpose
Everything must have a beginning, and so it is with this blog. We really had to think about what we wanted to share. What knowledge or experience do we have that makes Aaron and me special? Like most people, we have a story, one that has been full of pain, and ultimately full of joy. Making It Home is not just a catchy title, it’s about our journey from a failing marriage to one filled with love. Something that could only have been possible through Christ. Making It Home is also about turning the place we live into a welcoming refuge from the world, and ultimately to help you do the same. You get the awesome gift of learning from our mistakes without even having to get messy! You’ll also be able to benefit from our amazing successes.
So What’s It About?
Have you ever had a day where your house is clean, all the laundry is done, the lawn is mowed, and you just checked off another item on your goal list? So you sit down in your office or on your couch with a hot cup of coffee and just relax. You know that feeling, where all is right with the world? That is what we hope to capture. We want that calmness, satisfaction, and feeling of general well-being, to be part of your everyday life. We’ve learned a few secrets of how to have at least one of those moments every day. Through wholesome food from our garden, simplifying our finances, better organizing our home, and bringing Christ into our lives; we have finally found a joyful way to live and we want to share how we’ve done it with you.
Create Your New Beginning
In today’s world, we spend so much time trying to control every little detail of our life that we forget to slow down, take a look around, and STOP trying to control everything. At Making It Home, we are going to show you tips on how to make your home, your marriage, and your everyday life a lot less complicated. We’re not saying we have it all figured out. We are human after all. We still struggle, but we can show you the things we’ve learned that have made that struggle more of a joy and less of a burden.
So now that you have a little idea of what we’re about, we’d like to say welcome to the beginning of our journey!
